According to genesis6 God felt repentant in heart king james version! Then Romans8:24-31 predetermined, predestination foreknew, whom where persons will spend eternity,Heaven or Hell? The bible is full of contradictions, such as ephesians1:5,9,11 predestined his pleasure selfishness-glorious grace, purpose of his will

That really is not the case, of course. The contradictions you seem to see are only apparent.

Whenever we come to a statement in the Bible we must ask: “In what sense? From what point of view is this said?”

When we do so, we see no contradictions.

God may appear from man’s point of view to repent, and his relations change, but in himself he is eternal, perfect and hence unchangeable. God has all of his maximum life at a single timeless “moment”.

    Ros,
I just wanted to tell you that I thought your Intro to A Biblical Theology of the Song of Songs was brilliant. Though I dosn’t enjoy with all their points, I think Iain D. Campbell’s article, The Song of David’s Son in WTJ, 2000 and Francis Landy’s article “The Song of Songs and the Garden of Eden” in JBL, 1979 are good and in some ways similar to yours but yours is much more to the point and incisive. Is your doctoral studies at Highland on the Songs of Songs as well then?

Thank you. Yes, my PhD will be on a canonical approach to the Song of Songs.
