Karyn Traphagen

Karyn was one of my dearest friends in the US. The first weekend I was there, we had a 48 hour power cut. Karyn came round with a flask full of hot water just so that I could make some tea. We learned Ugaritic together and swam together (she is a much better swimmer than I am, but it was still fun doing conversational theology in the pool), we laughed together and, on occasion, mourned together. I miss her.

You can meet her over here where she has been interviewed by Daniel and Tonya of Hebrew and Greek Reader.

    Ros,

I miss you too! And you were so gracious not to mention that I brought funky, foreign tea that was nothing like proper British tea. Always the lady.

Looking forward to seeing you in November.

Wasn’t that a great interview? Brandon and I had a delightful catch-up with them last month in North Carolina — SO GOOD to see them again.

And here I am still in Glenside, with Mindy in Ohio, Ros back in England, and Karyn in North Carolina. Miss all three of you!
